Hadith of Wa'il ibn Hujr (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ (١)، ١٨٨٣٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ (٢) ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَهْلِي، عَنْ أَبِي قَالَ: " أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِدَلْوٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَشَرِبَ مِنْهُ، ثُمَّ مَجَّ فِي الدَّلْوِ، ثُمَّ صَبَّ فِي الْبِئْرِ أَوْ شَرِبَ مِنَ الدَّلْوِ، ثُمَّ مَجَّ فِي الْبِئْرِ، فَفَاحَ مِنْهَا مِثْلُ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ " (٣)، ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that a bucket was presented to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) drank some water from it and rinsed his mouth in the bucket, then either turned the bucket upside down into the well or, after drinking from the bucket, rinsed his mouth into the well, due to which the well began to emit a fragrance like musk.

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا سَجَدَ وَضَعَ أَنْفَهُ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ " (١)، ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) that when he performed prostration, he would place his nose on the ground.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْجُدُ عَلَى أَنْفِهِ مَعَ جَبْهَتِهِ " (١)،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) that when he performed prostration, he would prostrate on his nose and forehead.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " " آمِينَ " " (٢)،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) saying "Ameen."

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ حُجْرِ بْنِ عَنْبَسٍ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَرَأَ: {وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ} [الفاتحة: ٧] فَقَالَ: " آمِينَ " يَمُدُّ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ، (٣)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say "Ameen" in a loud voice after reciting "wa la-d-dallin." The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission, and in it, a low voice is mentioned.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: وَقَالَ شُعْبَةُ: وَخَفَضَ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ (١)،

Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, he said: And Shu'bah said: And he lowered his voice with it.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ،، ، حَدَّثَنِي أَهْلُ بَيْتِي، عَنْ أَبِي، أَنَّهُ " رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْجُدُ بَيْنَ كَفَّيْهِ " (١)،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) prostrating with his face placed between both his hands.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، (٢) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَائِلٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، أَنَّهُ " رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ سَجَدَ، وَيَدَاهُ قَرِيبَتَانِ مِنْ أُذُنَيْهِ (٣)، ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Prophet (ﷺ) in prostration, and his hands were near his ears.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاضِعًا يَمِينَهُ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ " (١)،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) during prayer placing his right hand over his left.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، (٢) حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: " أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الشِّتَاءِ قَالَ: فَرَأَيْتُ أَصْحَابَهُ، ، يَرْفَعُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِي ثِيَابِهِمْ " (١)،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I came to the service of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) during the winter season, and I saw the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) raising their hands from inside their cloaks.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْيَحْصُبِيِّ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ مَعَ التَّكْبِيرِ " (٢)،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) raising his hands along with the takbeer.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا فِطْرٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ،، ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حِينَ افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ، حَتَّى حَاذَتْ إِبْهَامُهُ شَحْمَةَ أُذُنَيْهِ " (١)،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) raising his hands with the takbeer, until his thumbs reached the level of his earlobes.

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ: لَأَنْظُرَنَّ كَيْفَ يُصَلِّي، قَالَ: " فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ، فَكَبَّرَ، وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى كَانَتَا حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ "، قَالَ: " ثُمَّ أَخَذَ شِمَالَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ "، قَالَ: " فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى كَانَتَا حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ، فَلَمَّا رَكَعَ وَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ، فَلَمَّا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى كَانَتَا حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ، فَلَمَّا سَجَدَ وَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ مِنْ وَجْهِهِ، بِذَلِكَ الْمَوْضِعِ،، ، فَلَمَّا قَعَدَ افْتَرَشَ رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى، وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ الْيُسْرَى، وَوَضَعَ حَدَّ مِرْفَقِهِ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى، وَعَقَدَ ثَلَاثِينَ وَحَلَّقَ وَاحِدَةً، وَأَشَارَ بِإِصْبَعِهِ السَّبَّابَةِ " (١)، ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I presented myself before the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and thought that I would definitely observe how the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) performed the prayer. So, the Noble Prophet faced the Qiblah and said the Takbeer, and raised both hands up to the level of his shoulders, then with his right hand he held his left hand. When he intended to bow (ruku'), he again raised his hands up to the level of his shoulders while performing the raising of the hands (raf' al-yadayn), and in ruku' he placed both his hands on both his knees. When he raised his head from ruku', he again raised his hands up to the level of his shoulders while performing the raising of the hands (raf' al-yadayn). And when he went into prostration (sajdah), he placed his hands near his face. And when he sat, he spread his left foot and kept his right foot upright, and placed his left hand on his left knee, and placed the limit of his elbow on his right thigh, and made a circle of the number thirty, forming a ring, and pointed with his index finger.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الْجَبَّارِ بْنَ وَائِلٍ يَذْكُرُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِدَلْوٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ، فَشَرِبَ مِنْهُ، ثُمَّ مَجَّ " (١)،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) raising his hands with the takbeer, and during the prayer, he saw him placing his right hand over his left hand.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْبَخْتَرِيِّ الطَّائِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْيَحْصُبِيِّ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، " أَنَّهُ صَلَّى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَكَانَ يُكَبِّرُ إِذَا خَفَضَ، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ، وَيَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ عِنْدَ التَّكْبِيرِ، وَيُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ "، (١)، ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: قَالَ لِي أَبَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ تَغْلِبَ، فِي الْحَدِيثِ: حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ وَضَحُ وَجْهِهِ، فَقُلْتُ لِعَمْرٍو أَفِي الْحَدِيثِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ وَضَحُ وَجْهِهِ، فَقَالَ عَمْرٌو: أَوْ نَحْوَ ذَلِكَ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that he prayed with the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) would say takbeer every time he bowed and rose, and he would raise his hands while saying takbeer, and he would turn to both the right and left sides when saying salam.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ حُجْرٍ أَبِي الْعَنْبَسِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلْقَمَةَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ وَائِلٍ، أَوْ سَمِعَهُ حُجْرٌ، مِنْ وَائِلٍ قَالَ: صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَمَّا قَرَأَ: {غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ} [الفاتحة: ٧] قَالَ: " آمِينَ " وَأَخْفَى بِهَا صَوْتَهُ، وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى يَدِهِ الْيُسْرَى، وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ " (١)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) led us in prayer. I heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) say "Ameen" in a low voice after reciting "wa la ad-dallin," and the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) placed his right hand over his left hand and turned to the right and left sides while saying salam.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَائِلٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ قَالَ: " صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَكَبَّرَ حِينَ دَخَلَ، وَرَفَعَ يَدَهُ، وَحِينَ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ، رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ، وَحِينَ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ، رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ، وَوَضَعَ كَفَّيْهِ، وَجَافَى وَفَرَشَ فَخِذَهُ الْيُسْرَى مِنَ الْيُمْنَى، وَأَشَارَ بِإِصْبَعِهِ، ، السَّبَّابَةِ " (١)،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I prayed behind the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) faced the Qiblah and said the takbeer, and raised both hands up to the level of his shoulders. When he intended to bow (ruku'), he again performed raf' al-yadayn, raising his hands up to the level of his shoulders. When he raised his head from ruku', he again performed raf' al-yadayn, raising his hands up to the level of his shoulders. And when he went into prostration (sajdah), he placed his hands near his face. And when he sat, he spread his left foot and kept his right foot upright, and placed his left hand on his left knee, and placed the limit of his elbow on his right thigh, and made a circle of the number thirty, forming a ring, and pointed with his index finger.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ، وَيَزِيدُ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: " " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ: " " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَضَعُ أَنْفَهُ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ إِذَا سَجَدَ مَعَ جَبْهَتِهِ " " (٢)، ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) that when he performed prostration, he would prostrate on his nose and forehead.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ حُجْرِ بْنِ عَنْبَسٍ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ " (١)،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) would turn to the right and to the left when saying salam (at the end of prayer).

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَبَّرَ فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حِينَ كَبَّرَ، يَعْنِي اسْتَفْتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ، وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حِينَ كَبَّرَ، (٢) وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حِينَ رَكَعَ، وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حِينَ قَالَ: سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، وَسَجَدَ فَوَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ أُذُنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ جَلَسَ فَافْتَرَشَ رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى، ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ الْيُسْرَى، وَوَضَعَ ذِرَاعَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى، ثُمَّ أَشَارَ بِسَبَّابَتِهِ، وَوَضَعَ، ، الْإِبْهَامَ عَلَى الْوُسْطَى، وَقَبَضَ سَائِرَ أَصَابِعِهِ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ، فَكَانَتْ يَدَاهُ حِذَاءَ أُذُنَيْهِ " (١)،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I prayed behind the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا يُقَالُ لَهُ: سُوَيْدُ بْنُ طَارِقٍ، سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْخَمْرِ، فَنَهَاهُ عَنْهَا، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي أَصْنَعُهَا لِلدَّوَاءِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّهَا دَاءٌ وَلَيْسَتْ بِدَوَاءٍ " (٢)،

It is narrated from Tariq bin Suwaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that I submitted in the court of Prophethood, "O Messenger of Allah! We live in a region of grapes; can we extract them (and drink their wine)?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No." I repeated my question, and the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) again said, "No." I submitted, "Can we give it to a patient as a treatment?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There is no cure in it; rather, it is pure disease."

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ، فَلَمَّا صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنِ، ، الْقَائِلُ؟ " قَالَ الرَّجُلُ: أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَمَا أَرَدْتُ إِلَّا الْخَيْرَ، فَقَالَ: " لَقَدْ فُتِحَتْ لَهَا أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ، فَلَمْ يُنَهْنْهَا دُونَ الْعَرْشِ " (١)،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I prayed with the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). During the prayer, a man said: "Alhamdulillah kathiran tayyiban mubarakan fihi." After completing the prayer, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "Who said these words?" That man said, "O Messenger of Allah! I said them, and I only intended good by saying them." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "For these words, the gates of the heavens were opened, and nothing prevented them from reaching the Throne."

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَشْعَثُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَكَانَ لِي مِنْ وَجْهِهِ مَا لَا، ، أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي بِهِ مِنْ وَجْهِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَادِيَةِ الْعَرَبِ، " صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَهُ وَكَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ كُلَّمَا كَبَّرَ، وَرَفَعَ وَوَضَعَ بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ، وَيُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ " (١)، ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I presented myself in the service of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). There was nothing more beloved to me than the sight of his radiant face. I performed prayer with the Noble Prophet (ﷺ); he used to say takbeer every time he bowed and rose, and he would raise his hands while saying takbeer, and he would turn his face to both the right and left sides when saying salam.

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ طَارِقَ بْنَ سُوَيْدٍ الْجُعْفِيَّ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْخَمْرِ، فَنَهَاهُ أَوْ كَرِهَ لَهُ أَنْ يَصْنَعَهَا، فَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا نَصْنَعُهَا لِلدَّوَاءِ فَقَالَ: " إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِدَوَاءٍ وَلَكِنَّهُ دَاءٌ " (١)،

It is narrated from Tariq bin Suwaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that I submitted in the presence of the Prophet, "O Messenger of Allah! We live in a region of grapes; can we extract (their wine) and drink it?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No." I repeated my question, and the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) again said, "No." I said, "Can we give it to a patient as a treatment?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There is no cure in it; rather, it is pure disease."

حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ: كُنْتُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلَانِ يَخْتَصِمَانِ فِي أَرْضٍ، فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا: إِنَّ هَذَا انْتَزَى عَلَى أَرْضِي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَهُوَ امْرُؤُ الْقَيْسِ بْنُ عَابِسٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ وَخَصْمُهُ رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ عَبْدَانَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: " بَيِّنَتُكَ " قَالَ: لَيْسَ لِي بَيِّنَةٌ، قَالَ: " يَمِينُهُ " قَالَ: إِذًا يَذْهَبُ بِهَا (٢) ، قَالَ: " لَيْسَ لَكَ إِلَّا ذَلِكَ ". قَالَ: فَلَمَّا قَامَ لِيَحْلِفَ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ اقْتَطَعَ أَرْضًا ظَالِمًا لَقِيَ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ، ، غَضْبَانُ " (١)، ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was present in the service of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) when two men came to the Prophet (ﷺ) with a dispute over a piece of land. One of them said, "O Messenger of Allah! This person seized my land during the time of ignorance." (The one who said this was Amr al-Qais bin Abis Kindi and his opponent was Rabee'ah bin Abdan.) The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) demanded witnesses from him, but he said, "I have no witnesses." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Then he will take an oath." He said, "In that case, he will take my land." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There is no other solution besides this." When the other man began to take the oath, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever unjustly seizes someone else's land will meet Allah on the Day of Resurrection in such a state that Allah will be angry with him."

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: " " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ يَسْجُدُ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ وَاضِعًا جَبْهَتَهُ وَأَنْفَهُ فِي سُجُودِهِ " " (١)،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) that when he performed prostration, he would prostrate on his nose and forehead.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكَعَ، فَوَضَعَ، ، يَدَيْهِ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ " (١)،

It is narrated from Wa'il that I saw the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) place both his hands on both his knees in bowing (ruku).

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُحَادَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، وَمَوْلًى لَهُمْ، أَنَّهُمَا حَدَّثَاهُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ، أَنَّهُ " رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حِينَ دَخَلَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ كَبَّرَ، (٢) وَصَفَ هَمَّامٌ حِيَالَ أُذُنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ الْتَحَفَ بِثَوْبِهِ، ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى الْيُسْرَى، فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ أَخْرَجَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الثَّوْبِ ثُمَّ (٣) رَفَعَهُمَا، فَكَبَّرَ فَرَكَعَ، فَلَمَّا قَالَ: سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ، فَلَمَّا سَجَدَ سَجَدَ بَيْنَ كَفَّيْهِ " (٤)، ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I prayed behind the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) faced the Qiblah and said the Takbeer, and raised both hands up to the level of his shoulders. Then, wrapping himself in his garment, he held his left hand with his right hand. When he intended to bow (ruku'), he took his hands out and again, performing raf' al-yadayn, raised his hands up to the level of his shoulders. When he raised his head from ruku' and said "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah," he again, performing raf' al-yadayn, raised his hands up to the level of his shoulders. And when he went into prostration (sajdah), he prostrated between his palms.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، وَأَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا سَجَدَ، ، جَعَلَ يَدَيْهِ حِذَاءَ أُذُنَيْهِ " (١)،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) in prostration, and his hands were near his ears.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ " آمِينَ " (٢)،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) saying "Ameen."

حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجْهَرُ " بِآمِينَ " (٣)، ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) say "Ameen" in a loud voice after reciting "wa la ad-dalleen".

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، أَنَّ وَائِلَ بْنَ حُجْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيَّ، أخْبَرَهُ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: لَأَنْظُرَنَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، كَيْفَ يُصَلِّي؟ قَالَ: فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ قَامَ فَكَبَّرَ، وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى حَاذَتَا أُذُنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى ظَهْرِ كَفِّهِ الْيُسْرَى، وَالرُّسْغِ وَالسَّاعِدِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: لَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ، رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ مِثْلَهَا وَوَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ، فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ مِثْلَهَا، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ، فَجَعَلَ كَفَّيْهِ بِحِذَاءِ أُذُنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَعَدَ فَافْتَرَشَ رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى، فَوَضَعَ كَفَّهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ وَرُكْبَتِهِ الْيُسْرَى، وَجَعَلَ حَدَّ مِرْفَقِهِ الْأَيْمَنِ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى، ثُمَّ قَبَضَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ فَحَلَّقَ حَلْقَةً، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ إِصْبَعَهُ، فَرَأَيْتُهُ يُحَرِّكُهَا يَدْعُو بِهَا "، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فِي زَمَانٍ فِيهِ بَرْدٌ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ عَلَيْهِمُ الثِّيَابُ تُحَرَّكُ أَيْدِيهِمْ مِنْ تَحْتِ الثِّيَابِ مِنَ الْبَرْدِ " (١)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I presented myself before the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and thought that I would definitely observe how the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) performs prayer. So, the Noble Prophet faced the Qiblah and said the Takbeer, and raised both hands up to the level of the shoulders, then with the right hand held the left hand. When he intended to bow (ruku'), he again raised his hands up to the level of the shoulders while performing the raising of the hands (raf' al-yadayn), and in ruku' placed both hands on both knees. When he raised his head from ruku', he again raised his hands up to the level of the shoulders while performing the raising of the hands (raf' al-yadayn). And when he went into prostration (sajdah), he placed his hands near his face. And when he sat, he spread his left foot and kept his right foot upright, and placed his left hand on his left knee, and placed the limit of the elbow on the right thigh, and made a circle by forming a ring with the number thirty, and pointed with the index finger. After some time, I came again, and it was the winter season. I saw that people had wrapped themselves in sheets, and due to the cold, they were moving their hands from under the sheets.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنِي سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ،، ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ (١) النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ كَبَّرَ، رَفَعَ (٢) يَدَيْهِ حِذَاءَ أُذُنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ حِينَ رَكَعَ، ثُمَّ حِينَ قَالَ: سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ، وَرَأَيْتُهُ مُمْسِكًا يَمِينَهُ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، فَلَمَّا جَلَسَ حَلَّقَ بِالْوُسْطَى وَالْإِبْهَامِ وَأَشَارَ بِالسَّبَّابَةِ، وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى، وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى " (٣)، ،

حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرَّقِّيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: اسْتُكْرِهَتْ امْرَأَةٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، " " فَدَرَأَ عَنْهَا الْحَدَّ، وَأَقَامَهُ عَلَى الَّذِي أَصَابَهَا " "، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَنَّهُ جَعَلَ لَهَا مَهْرًا (١)، ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ), an incident of forced adultery occurred with a woman. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) pardoned the woman from punishment and imposed the punishment on the man. The narrator did not mention whether the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) also fixed a dowry for her (or not?).

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ، (١) حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ وَائِلٍ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَضَعُ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى الْيُسْرَى فِي الصَّلَاةِ، قَرِيبًا مِنَ الرُّسْغِ، وَيَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ (٢) حِينَ يُوجِبُ حَتَّى تَبْلُغَا أُذُنَيْهِ، وَصَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَهُ فَقَرَأَ: {غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ} [الفاتحة: ٧] فَقَالَ: " آمِينَ " يَجْهَرُ (٣)، ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) placing his right hand over his left hand near the wrists during prayer, and when starting the prayer, he would raise his hands up to his ears. And I have offered prayer behind him (ﷺ); after reciting "wa la ad-dallin," he said "Ameen" aloud.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِدَلْوٍ مِنْ مَاءِ زَمْزَمَ، فَتَمَضْمَضَ، فَمَجَّ فِيهِ أَطْيَبَ مِنَ الْمِسْكِ.، أَوْ قَالَ: مِسْكٌ، وَاسْتَنْثَرَ خَارِجًا مِنَ الدَّلْوِ "، (١)، ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that a bucket was presented to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) drank some water from it and rinsed his mouth in the bucket, then poured the bucket into the well, or after drinking water from the bucket, rinsed his mouth into the well, due to which the well began to smell fragrant like musk, and after removing the bucket, he cleaned his nose.

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَضَعُ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى فِي الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْيُسْرَى " فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ أَبِي بَكَيْرٍ (١)،

18448 Narrated to us by Hasan ibn Musa, narrated to us by Zuhayr, from Abu Ishaq, from Abd al-Jabbar ibn Wa'il, from his father, who said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, placing his right hand over his left in prayer." And he mentioned similar to the hadith of Ibn Abi Bakir.

حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّ وَائِلَ بْنَ حُجْرٍ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: لَأَنْظُرَنَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَيْفَ يُصَلِّي، " فَقَامَ فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى حَاذَتَا أُذُنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ شِمَالَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: حِينَ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ، رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى حَاذَتَا بِأُذُنَيْهِ، (٢) ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ (٣) عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ فَوَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ حِذَاءَ أُذُنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَعَدَ فَافْتَرَشَ رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى، وَوَضَعَ كَفَّهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ الْيُسْرَى، فَخِذِهِ فِي صِفَةِ عَاصِمٍ، ثُمَّ وَضَعَ حَدَّ مِرْفَقِهِ الْأَيْمَنِ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى، وَقَبَضَ ثَلَاثِينَ (٤) ، وَحَلَّقَ حَلْقَةً. ثُمَّ رَأَيْتُهُ يَقُولُ هَكَذَا، وَأَشَارَ زُهَيْرٌ بِسَبَّابَتِهِ الْأُولَى، وَقَبَضَ إِصْبَعَيْنِ، وَحَلَّقَ الْإِبْهَامَ عَلَى السَّبَّابَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ "، (٥)، ، قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ: قَالَ عَاصِمٌ، وَحَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ، عَنْ بَعْضِ أَهْلِهِ، أَنَّ وَائِلًا قَالَ: أَتَيْتُهُ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى وَعَلَى النَّاسِ ثِيَابٌ فِيهَا الْبَرَانِسُ وَفِيهَا الْأَكْسِيَةُ، فَرَأَيْتُهُمْ يَقُولُونَ: هَكَذَا تَحْتَ الثِّيَابِ،

It is narrated from Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I presented myself before the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and thought that I would definitely observe how the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) performed the prayer. So, the Noble Prophet faced the Qiblah and said the Takbeer, and raised both hands up to the level of his shoulders, then with his right hand, he held his left hand. When he intended to bow (ruku'), he again raised his hands up to the level of his shoulders while performing the raising of the hands (raf' al-yadayn), and in ruku', he placed both his hands on both his knees. When he raised his head from ruku', he again raised his hands up to the level of his shoulders while performing the raising of the hands (raf' al-yadayn). And when he went into prostration (sajdah), he placed his hands near his face. And when he sat, he spread his left foot and kept his right foot upright, and placed his left hand on his left knee, and placed the limit of his elbow on his right thigh, and made a circle by forming a ring with the number thirty, and pointed with his index finger. It is narrated from Wa'il that once again, I presented myself before the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) in the winter season, and I saw the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) raising their hands from inside their cloaks.

حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ وَائِلٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، " أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى، فَكَبَّرَ، فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ، فَلَمَّا رَكَعَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ، فَلَمَّا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ، رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ وَخَوَّى فِي رُكُوعِهِ، وَخَوَّى فِي سُجُودِهِ، فَلَمَّا قَعَدَ يَتَشَهَّدُ وَضَعَ فَخِذَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى الْيُسْرَى، وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى وَأَشَارَ بِإِصْبَعِهِ السَّبَّابَةِ، وَحَلَّقَ بِالْوُسْطَى "، (١)، ،

حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرَهُ، وَقَالَ فِيهِ: وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى الْيُسْرَى قَالَ: وَزَادَ فِيهِ شُعْبَةُ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى: فَلَمَّا كَانَ فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ، وَجَافَى فِي الرُّكُوعِ (١)، ،

Narrated to us Aswad ibn ‘Amir, narrated to us Shu‘bah, from ‘Asim ibn Kulayb, he said: I heard my father narrate, from Wa’il ibn Hujr al-Hadrami: that he saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, pray, and he mentioned it, and he said in it: and he placed his right hand over his left. He said: and Shu‘bah added in it another time: when he was in bowing (ruku‘), he placed his hands on his knees, and he spread apart (his arms) in bowing.
