Hadith of the collector of the Prophet (peace be upon him)

حَدِيثُ مُصَدِّقِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ١٨٨٣٧ - حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ خَبَّابٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَيْسَرَةُ أَبُو صَالِحٍ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ قَالَ: أَتَانَا مُصَدِّقُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: فَجَلَسْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ فِي عَهْدِي أَنْ لَا آخُذَ (١) مِنْ رَاضِعِ لَبَنٍ، وَلَا يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ مُتَفَرِّقٍ، وَلَا يُفَرَّقُ بَيْنَ مُجْتَمِعٍ "، وَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ بِنَاقَةٍ كَوْمَاءَ فَقَالَ: خُذْهَا، فَأَبَى أَنْ يَأْخُذَهَا (٢)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،

Suwaid bin Ghaflah says that a companion (may Allah be pleased with him) who was appointed by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to collect zakat came to us. Suwaid says: I sat with him and heard him say that I have been instructed not to take any milch animal, and not to combine what is separate nor separate what is combined. Then a man came to him with a she-camel having a large hump and said, "Take this." But he refused to take it.
