حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ (١) وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ، ١٦٤٣٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ـ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ ـ: فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَاضِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى " (٢)، ،

Ubad bin Tamim narrates from his uncle that I saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the mosque with one leg placed over the other.

قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ،، ، أَنَّ جَدَّهُ قَالَ لِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: هَلْ تَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ تُرِيَنِي كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ؟ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ: نَعَمْ، " فَدَعَا بِوَضُوءٍ فَأَفْرَغَ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ فَغَسَلَ يَدَهُ مَرَّتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ تَمَضْمَضَ، وَاسْتَنْثَرَ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِيَدَيْهِ فَأَقْبَلَ بِهِمَا وَأَدْبَرَ، بَدَأَ بِمُقَدَّمِ رَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ بِهِمَا إِلَى قَفَاهُ، ثُمَّ رَدَّهُمَا حَتَّى رَجَعَ إِلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي بَدَأَ مِنْهُ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ " (١)، ،

Amr bin Yahya narrates from his father that his grandfather asked Abdullah bin Zaid bin Asim, who was a companion, "Can you show me how the Prophet (peace be upon him) performed ablution?" He replied, "Yes!" Then he called for water for ablution, poured it on his hand, washed it twice, rinsed his mouth and sniffed water into his nose three times each, washed his face three times, washed his hands up to the elbows twice, wiped his head with both hands moving them forward and backward, started wiping from the front part of the head and took his hands to the nape, then brought them back to the place where he started wiping, and then washed his feet.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ: " خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاسْتَسْقَى وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ " (١)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) went out to pray for rain, and on that occasion, he turned his cloak around.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ (١) بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَا بَيْنَ بَيْتِي وَمِنْبَرِي رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ " (٢)،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The space between my house and my pulpit is one of the gardens from the gardens of Paradise.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَسْقَى وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ " (٣)، ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) went out to pray for rain, and on that occasion, he turned his cloak around.

قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: مَالِكٌ، عَنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبَّادَ بْنَ تَمِيمٍ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ الْمَازِنِيَّ يَقُولُ: " خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى فَاسْتَسْقَى وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ حِينَ اسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ " (١)، ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) went out to pray for rain (Salat al-Istisqa), and on that occasion, when he faced the Qiblah, he turned his cloak around.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ: " خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَسْقِي فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ، وَجَهَرَ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ " (١)،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wiped his head with both hands, moving them forward and backward. He started wiping from the front part of the head and took his hands to the nape, then brought them back to the place from where he had started wiping.

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ: " شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ يَسْتَسْقِي، فَوَلَّى ظَهْرَهُ النَّاسَ وَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ، وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ، وَجَعَلَ يَدْعُو، وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَجَهَرَ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ " (١)،

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ حَبَّانَ بْنِ وَاسِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ يَوْمًا فَمَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِمَاءٍ غَيْرِ فَضْلِ يَدَيْهِ " (٢)، ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performing ablution; he wiped his head with fresh water, not with the moisture left on his hands.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، سَمِعَ عَبَّادَ بْنَ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ فَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ: " هَكَذَا يَدْلُكُ " (١)، ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) once performed ablution and began to rub his limbs.

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، وَعَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا وُضُوءَ إِلَّا فِيمَا وَجَدْتَ الرِّيحَ أَوْ سَمِعْتَ الصَّوْتَ " (١)، ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: A new ablution becomes obligatory only when you perceive a smell or hear a sound.

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ سُئِلَ عَنْ وُضُوءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، " فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ وَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ ثَلَاثًا، وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، وَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ، وَمَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ ـ قَالَ عُثْمَانُ: مَسَحَ مَالِكٌ رَأْسَهُ، فَأَقْبَلَ بِيَدَيْهِ وَأَدْبَرَ بِهِمَا ـ وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ "، وَقَالَ: هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ (١)،

حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ جُرْجَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، أَنَّهُ " أَبْصَرَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُسْتَلْقِيًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ وَاضِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى " (٢)، ،

Ubadah bin Tamim narrates from his uncle that I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) in the mosque with one leg placed over the other.

حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُمَارَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، وَخَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: تَوَضَّأْ لَنَا وُضُوءَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " فَدَعَا بِإِنَاءٍ فَأَكْفَأَ مِنْهُ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا فَغَسَلَهُمَا، ثُمَّ أَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ وَاسْتَخْرَجَهَا، فَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ مِنْ كَفٍّ وَاحِدَةٍ، فَفَعَلَ ذَلِكَ ثَلَاثًا، وَاسْتَخْرَجَهَا ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ، ثُمَّ أَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فَاسْتَخْرَجَهَا فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ أَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فَاسْتَخْرَجَهَا فَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ فَأَقْبَلَ بِيَدَيْهِ (١) وَأَدْبَرَ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ "، ثُمَّ قَالَ: هَكَذَا كَانَ وُضُوءُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (٢)، ،

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَرَّمَ مَكَّةَ وَدَعَا لَهَا، وَحَرَّمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ كَمَا حَرَّمَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مَكَّةَ، وَدَعَوْتُ لَهُمْ فِي مُدِّهَا وَصَاعِهَا مِثْلَ مَا دَعَا بِهِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِمَكَّةَ " (١)، ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Ibrahim declared Makkah Mukarramah as a sanctuary and prayed for it, and I declare Madinah Munawwarah as a sanctuary just as Ibrahim declared Makkah Mukarramah as a sanctuary. And I pray for blessings for the people of Madinah in their mudd and sa’ just as Ibrahim prayed for the people of Makkah.

حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاضِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى " (١)،

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، أَنَّهُ شَكَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الرَّجُلُ يَجِدُ الشَّيْءَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ يُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ قَدْ كَانَ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ: " لَا يَنْفَتِلُ حَتَّى يَجِدَ رِيحًا أَوْ يَسْمَعَ صَوْتًا " (٢)، ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man complained in the presence of the Prophet (ﷺ) that sometimes during prayer he feels as if his ablution has broken. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do not leave (the prayer) until you smell something or hear a sound.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ (١) بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ، سَمِعَ عَبَّادَ بْنَ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ إِلَى (٢) الْمُصَلَّى يَسْتَسْقِي، (٣) فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَقَلَبَ رِدَاءَهُ، وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ "، (٤) قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: قَلْبُ الرِّدَاءِ جَعْلُ الْيَمِينِ الشِّمَالَ وَالشِّمَالِ الْيَمِينَ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out to pray Salat al-Istisqa (prayer for rain). On that occasion, he turned his cloak while facing the Qiblah and led two rak‘ahs with loud recitation.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ أَبِي حَسَنٍ الْمَازِنِيُّ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ ". قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: حَدَّثَنَا، ، يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى - مُنْذُ أَرْبَعٍ وَسَبْعِينَ سَنَةً، وَسَأَلْتُهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بِقَلِيلٍ، وَكَانَ يَحْيَى أَكْبَرَ مِنْهُ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: سَمِعْتُ مِنْهُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَحَادِيثَ - " فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ، وَوَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ "، سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ سُفْيَانَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ يَقُولُ: غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ، وَقَالَ مَرَّةً: " مَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ مَرَّةً " وَقَالَ مَرَّتَيْنِ: " مَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ " (١)، ،

Hadith number 15836 ACD is also narrated through this second chain, however, there is a difference in the number; in some places, it mentions washing the hands twice, the face three times, and wiping (masah) twice, and in some places, it mentions washing the feet twice, in some places wiping once, and in some places wiping twice.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَا بَيْنَ بَيْتِي وَمِنْبَرِي رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ "، (١)، ، قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ (١)،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The space between my house and my pulpit is one of the gardens from the gardens of Paradise.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ (٢) أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ وَيَمْسَحُ بِالْمَاءِ عَلَى رِجْلَيْهِ " (٣)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،

Ubadah bin Tamim narrates from his father that I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) performing ablution, and he was wiping over his feet with water.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبَّادُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ، أَنَّ عَمَّهُ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ بِالنَّاسِ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى يَسْتَسْقِي لَهُمْ، فَقَامَ فَدَعَا قَائِمًا، ثُمَّ تَوَجَّهَ قِبَلَ الْقِبْلَةِ وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ "، فَأُسْقُوا (١)،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out to pray for rain. On that occasion, he turned his cloak while facing the Qiblah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) kept standing and supplicating, and thus it rained.

حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ الْمَاجِشُونَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " جَاءَنَا رَسُولُ، ، اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْرَجْتُ إِلَيْهِ مَاءً يَتَوَضَّأُ (١) ، فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، وَيَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ، وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ أَقْبَلَ بِهِ وَأَدْبَرَ، وَمَسَحَ بِأُذُنَيْهِ، وَغَسَلَ قَدَمَيْهِ " (٢)،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) came to us. I presented water to him, so he began to perform ablution. He washed his face three times, washed his hands up to the elbows twice, wiped his head with both hands moving them forward and backward, started wiping from the front part of the head and took his hands to the nape, then brought them back to the place where he had started wiping, wiped his ears, and then washed his feet.

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ حَبَّانَ بْنِ وَاسِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِمَاءٍ غَيْرِ فَضْلِ يَدَيْهِ " (٣)،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performing ablution; he wiped his head with fresh water, not with the moisture left on his hands.

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَا بَيْنَ هَذِهِ الْبُيُوتِ ـ يَعْنِي: بُيُوتَهُ ـ إِلَى مِنْبَرِي رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ، وَالْمِنْبَرُ عَلَى تُرْعَةٍ مِنْ تُرَعِ الْجَنَّةِ " (٤)، ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The space between my house and my pulpit is one of the gardens of Paradise, and my pulpit will be at one of the gates of Paradise.

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ بْنُ وَاسِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَمُّهُ الْمَازِنِيُّ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْجُحْفَةِ فَمَضْمَضَ، (١) ثُمَّ اسْتَنْشَقَ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، وَغَسَلَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِمَاءٍ غَيْرِ فَضْلِ يَدَيْهِ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ حَتَّى أَنْقَاهُمَا " (٢)، ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performing ablution at Juhfa. He rinsed his mouth, put water into his nose, washed his face three times, washed his right hand three times, then wiped his head with fresh water other than the moisture remaining on his hands, and then thoroughly washed both his feet.

حَدَّثَنَا سَكَنُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَخْضَرِ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ (١) بْنِ تَمِيمٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَمَّهُ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاسْتَسْقَى، ثُمَّ تَوَجَّهَ قِبَلَ الْقِبْلَةِ، وَحَوَّلَ إِلَى النَّاسِ ظَهْرَهُ يَدْعُو، وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ، وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ " (٢) ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: قَلْبُ الرِّدَاءِ حَتَّى تُحَوَّلَ السَّنَةُ يَصِيرُ الْغَلَاءُ رُخْصًا،

حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بنِ غَزِيَّةَ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَسْقَى وَعَلَيْهِ خَمِيصَةٌ لَهُ سَوْدَاءُ، فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ بِأَسْفَلِهَا فَيَجْعَلَهُ أَعْلَاهَا، فَثَقُلَتْ عَلَيْهِ فَقَلَبَهَا عَلَيْهِ (٢) الْأَيْمَنُ عَلَى الْأَيْسَرِ، وَالْأَيْسَرُ عَلَى الْأَيْمَنِ " (٣)، ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) led the prayer of Istisqa (prayer for rain). At that time, he was wearing a black cloak. The Prophet (ﷺ) wanted to turn its lower part upwards, but it became difficult, so the Prophet (ﷺ) switched the right side to the left and the left side to the right.

حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قِيلَ لِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ يَوْمَ الْحَرَّةِ: هَلُمَّ إِلَى ابْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ يُبَايِعُ النَّاسَ، قَالَ: عَلَامَ يُبَايِعُهُمْ؟ قَالُوا: عَلَى الْمَوْتِ، قَالَ: " لَا أُبَايِعُ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدًا بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " (١)،

Yahya says that during the incident of Harrah, a person said to Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him), "Come! Let us go to Ibn Hanzalah, who is taking allegiance from the people." He asked, "On what is he taking allegiance?" It was said, "On death." He replied, "After the Prophet (ﷺ), I cannot pledge allegiance to anyone on this."

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، وَسُرَيْجٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ،، ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ثُمَّ الْمَازِنِيِّ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ " (١)،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) washed the limbs of ablution twice each while performing ablution.

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ثُمَّ الْمَازِنِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ـ وَكَانَ أَحَدَ رَهْطِهِ ـ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ شَهِدَ مَعَهُ أُحُدًا قَالَ: " قَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ اسْتَسْقَى لَنَا أَطَالَ الدُّعَاءَ وَأَكْثَرَ الْمَسْأَلَةَ "، قَالَ: " ثُمَّ تَحَوَّلَ إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ فَقَلَبَهُ ظَهْرًا لِبَطْنٍ، وَتَحَوَّلَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ " (٢)، ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid, who was among the participants of Uhud, that once the Prophet (ﷺ) went out to pray for rain (Salat al-Istisqa). I saw that on this occasion, he made a long supplication and asked abundantly. Then he turned towards the Qiblah and turned his cloak inside out, changing the outer part with the inner part. The people also did the same.

قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: مَالِكٌ، وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ (١) عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ الْمَازِنِيَّ يَقُولُ: " خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى وَاسْتَسْقَى، وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ حِينَ اسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ "، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: وَبَدَأَ بِالصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ، ثُمَّ اسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ فَدَعَا (٢)،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) went out to pray for rain (Salat al-Istisqa). On that occasion, he turned towards the Qiblah and turned his cloak around.

حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَنَّ حَبَّانَ بْنَ وَاسِعٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ، (٣) حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ الْمَازِنِيَّ يَذْكُرُ، أَنَّهُ " رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ فَمَضْمَضَ، ثُمَّ اسْتَنْشَقَ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، وَيَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى ثَلَاثًا، وَالْأُخْرَى ثَلَاثًا، وَمَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِمَاءٍ غَيْرِ، ، فَضْلِ يَدِهِ، وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ حَتَّى أَنْقَاهُمَا " (١)،

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ فَتَوَجَّهَ الْقِبْلَةَ يَدْعُو، وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ جَهَرَ فِيهِمَا بِالْقِرَاءَةِ " (٢)،

(Marfu' hadith) Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrated to us, from az-Zuhri, from 'Abbad ibn Tamim, from his uncle, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, "went out, faced the qiblah and supplicated, and turned his cloak, then prayed two rak'ahs in which he recited aloud."

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، وَعَتَّابٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ بْنُ وَاسِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْجُحْفَةِ ـ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ حَسَنٍ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: وَمَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِمَاءٍ غَبْرٍ مِنْ (٣)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ، فَضْلِ يَدِهِ " (١)،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) went out to pray Salat al-Istisqa (prayer for rain). On that occasion, he faced the Qiblah, turned his cloak inside out, and led two rak'ahs with loud recitation.

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا أَفَاءَ اللهُ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ مَا أَفَاءَ، قَالَ: قَسَمَ فِي النَّاسِ فِي الْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَلَمْ يَقْسِمْ وَلَمْ يُعْطِ الْأَنْصَارَ شَيْئًا، فَكَأَنَّهُمْ وَجَدُوا إِذْ لَمْ يُصِبْهُمْ مَا أَصَابَ النَّاسَ فَخَطَبَهُمْ فَقَالَ: " يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ، أَلَمْ أَجِدْكُمْ ضُلَّالًا فَهَدَاكُمُ اللهُ بِي، وَكُنْتُمْ مُتَفَرِّقِينَ فَجَمَعَكُمُ اللهُ بِي، وَعَالَةً فَأَغْنَاكُمُ اللهُ بِي "، قَالَ: كُلَّمَا قَالَ شَيْئًا قَالُوا: اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمَنُّ، قَالَ: " مَا يَمْنَعُكُمْ أَنْ تُجِيبُونِي؟ (٢) "، قَالُوا: اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمَنُّ، قَالَ: " لَوْ شِئْتُمْ لَقُلْتُمْ جِئْتَنَا كَذَا وَكَذَا، أَلَا تَرْضَوْنَ، ، أَنْ يَذْهَبَ النَّاسُ بِالشَّاةِ وَالْبَعِيرِ، وَتَذْهَبُونَ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ إِلَى رِحَالِكُمْ، لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ لَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا وَشِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَشِعْبَهُمْ، الْأَنْصَارُ شِعَارٌ وَالنَّاسُ دِثَارٌ، وَإِنَّكُمْ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ " (١)،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the occasion of the Battle of Hunayn, when Allah Almighty granted the Prophet (ﷺ) the spoils of war, he distributed them among those whose hearts were to be reconciled, and did not give anything from it to the Ansar. Apparently, the Ansar felt that they did not receive what others had been given. When the Prophet (ﷺ) learned of this, he addressed them and said: "O group of Ansar! Did I not find you astray, and Allah enriched you through me?" In response to all these words, the Ansar kept saying only this: "The great favor is from Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "What is the matter, do you not answer me?" They again said: "The great favor is from Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "If you wished, you could have said that you came to us in such and such a state, etc. Are you not pleased that people take away sheep and camels, and you return to your tents with the Messenger of Allah? If there had been no migration, I would have been one of the Ansar. If people walk on one path, I will walk on the path of the Ansar. The Ansar are the inner garment of my body, and the rest of the people are the outer garment. And after me, you will see preferences given to others, so at that time, be patient until you meet me at the Pond."

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا كَانَ زَمَنُ الْحَرَّةِ أَتَاهُ آتٍ فَقَالَ: هَذَا ابْنُ حَنْظَلَةَ ـ وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ مَرَّةً: هَذَاكَ ابْنُ حَنْظَلَةَ ـ يُبَايِعُ النَّاسَ، قَالَ: عَلَى أَيِّ شَيْءٍ يُبَايِعُهُمْ؟ قَالَ: عَلَى الْمَوْتِ، قَالَ: " لَا أُبَايِعُ عَلَى هَذَا أَحَدًا بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " (٢)، ،

Yahya narrates that during the incident of Harrah, a person said to Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him), "Come! Let us go to Ibn Hanzalah, who is taking allegiance from the people." He asked, "On what is he taking allegiance?" It was said, "On death." He replied, "After the Prophet (ﷺ), I cannot pledge allegiance to anyone on this."

حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْوَاسِطِيَّ الطَّحَّانَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ مِنْ كَفٍّ وَاحِدٍ " (١)،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) rinsed his mouth and put water into his nose with a single handful.

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى يَسْتَسْقِي وَعَلَيْهِ خَمِيصَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ، فَأَخَذَ بِأَسْفَلِهَا لِيَجْعَلَهَا أَعْلَاهَا فَثَقُلَتْ عَلَيْهِ فَقَلَبَهَا عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ " (٢)، ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) led the prayer of Istisqa (prayer for rain). At that time, he was wearing a black cloak. The Prophet (ﷺ) wanted to turn its lower part upwards, but it became difficult, so the Prophet (ﷺ) switched the right side to the left and the left side to the right.
