حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، وَعَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا وُضُوءَ إِلَّا فِيمَا وَجَدْتَ الرِّيحَ أَوْ سَمِعْتَ الصَّوْتَ " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: A new ablution becomes obligatory only when you perceive a smell or hear a sound.
