Allahumma innaka Afuwwun Tuhibbul Afwa is a powerful dua and one of the best Dua for forgiveness as it was the dua That Prophet Mohammed (ﷺ) advised us to recite upon Laylatul-Qadr -Night of Decree-.

Laylat al-Qadr is considered the holiest night of the year for Muslims in the holy month of Ramadan. It falls in the last 10 days of Ramadan.

Allahumma innaka Afuwwun in Arabic

The full Dua is written in Arabic with the Diacritical as:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

and Without the Diacritical:

اللهم إنك عفو تحب العفو فاعف عني


Allahumma innaka Afuwwun Tuhibbul Afwa Fa’fu Anny

It was narrated from ‘Aishah that she said: “O Messenger of Allah, what do you think I should say in my supplication, if I come upon Laylatul-Qadr?” He said: “Say: ‘Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul-‘afwa, fa’fu ‘anni .'”
