Hadith of the Bedouin about the Prophet (peace be upon him)

حَدِيثُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ٢٠٠٥٦ - حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، وَبَهْزٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ الْأَعْرَابِيَّ، قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي "، قَالَ: " فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ، فَرَفَعَ كَفَّيْهِ حَتَّى حَاذَتَا، أَوْ بَلَغَتَا، فُرُوعَ أُذُنَيْهِ، كَأَنَّهُمَا مِرْوَحَتَانِ " (١)،

It is narrated from a Bedouin companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) performing prayer. When the Prophet (ﷺ) raised his head from bowing (ruku‘), he raised both his hands up to the earlobes, as if they were two fans.

حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، وَبَهْزٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ الْأَعْرَابِيَّ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي، وَعَلَيْهِ نَعْلَانِ مِنْ بَقَرٍ "، قَالَ: " فَتَفَلَ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، ثُمَّ حَكَّ حَيْثُ تَفَلَ بِنَعْلِهِ " (٢)، ،

It is narrated from a Bedouin companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that I once saw the Prophet (ﷺ) performing prayer, and he was wearing shoes made of cowhide. Then he (ﷺ) spat to the left side and rubbed that spot with his shoe.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَعْرَابِيٌّ لَنَا، قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ نَعْلَ نَبِيِّكُمْ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَخْصُوفَةً " (١)، ،

Mutarrif bin Shukhair says that a Bedouin companion (may Allah be pleased with him) told us that I have seen your Prophet’s (ﷺ) shoes made of leather.
