Chapter 1

It is narrated from Sufyan bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I once submitted in the court of the Messenger (ﷺ), "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), tell me something about Islam such that after you, I would not need to ask anyone else about it." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "First, declare with your tongue that I have believed in Allah, then remain steadfast upon it always." I asked, "What should I beware of?" Upon this, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) pointed towards his tongue.
