musnad-ahmad/699 · Musnad Ahmad

Chapter 1

It is narrated from Khuraim (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) offered the Fajr prayer. When he finished the prayer, he stood at his place and said: False testimony has been equated with shirk (associating partners with Allah). Then the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) recited this verse: "Avoid false speech, devote yourselves exclusively to Allah, and do not associate anyone with Him."

It is narrated from Khuraim (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said to him: "If you did not have two things, you would be you." He submitted, "One thing is enough for me." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You let your lower garment hang below the ankles and you grow your hair very long." He submitted, "By Allah! Now I will certainly not do so."

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،

It is narrated from Khuraim (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Deeds are of six types and people are of four types. Two things are obligatory, one thing is equal, one good deed is rewarded tenfold, and one good deed is rewarded seven hundredfold. The two obligatory things are: whoever dies in such a state that he does not associate anyone with Allah, he will enter Paradise; and whoever dies associating partners with Allah, he will enter Hell. The equal thing is that whoever intends to do a good deed, and its feeling arises in his heart and it is in Allah’s knowledge, then one good deed is written for him; and whoever commits an evil deed, one evil deed is written for him. Whoever does one good deed, it is written tenfold for him; and whoever spends in the way of Allah, one good deed is counted up to seven hundredfold. As for the people, some of them have ease in this world and hardship in the Hereafter; some have hardship in this world and ease in the Hereafter; some have hardship in both this world and the Hereafter; and some have ease in both this world and the Hereafter.

It is narrated from Khuraim (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) stood at his place to deliver a sermon and said three times: False testimony has been equated with shirk (associating partners with Allah).
