حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ شِمْرِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ خُرَيْمِ بْنِ فَاتِكٍ الْأَسَدِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ أَنْتَ يَا خُرَيْمُ، لَوْلَا خَلَّتَانِ (١) فِيكَ " قُلْتُ: وَمَا هُمَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: " إِسْبَالُكَ إِزَارَكَ، وَإِرْخَاؤُكَ شَعْرَكَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Khuraim (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said to him: "If you did not have two things, you would be you." He submitted, "One thing is enough for me." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You let your lower garment hang below the ankles and you grow your hair very long." (He submitted, "By Allah! Now I will certainly not do so.")
