حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ فَاتِكِ بْنِ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ أَيْمَنَ بْنِ خُرَيْمٍ قَالَ: قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطِيبًا، فَقَالَ: " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، عَدَلَتْ شَهَادَةُ الزُّورِ إِشْرَاكًا بِاللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: {اجْتَنِبُوا الرِّجْسَ مِنَ الْأَوْثَانِ وَاجْتَنِبُوا قَوْلَ الزُّورِ} (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Khuraim (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) stood at his place to deliver a sermon and said three times: False testimony has been equated with shirk (associating partners with Allah). Then the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) recited this verse: "Avoid the filth of idols and avoid speaking falsehood."
