Hadith of a man (may Allah be pleased with him)

Chapter 1

حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ، ٢٣٤٦٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّالَانِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ الْأَوْدِيِّ (١) ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا اجْتَمَعَ الدَّاعِيَانِ فَأَجِبْ أَقْرَبَهُمَا بَابًا، فَإِنَّ أَقْرَبَهُمَا بَابًا أَقْرَبُهُمَا جِوَارًا، فَإِذَا سَبَقَ أَحَدُهُمَا فَأَجِبِ الَّذِي سَبَقَ " (٢)، ،

It is narrated from a companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When two people invite you at the same time, then accept the invitation of the one whose door is closer, because the one whose door is closer, his neighborhood is closer. And if one of them invites you first, then accept the invitation of the one who invited first.
