Hadith of a man from the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him)

حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ٢٣٤٦٥ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي سَمِعْتُهُ وَحْدِي، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالَ: خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي جِنَازَةِ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ مَعَ أَبِي، فَجَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى حُفَيْرَةِ الْقَبْرِ، فَجَعَلَ يُوصِي الْحَافِرَ وَيَقُولُ: " أَوْسِعْ مِنْ قِبَلِ الرَّأْسِ، وَأَوْسِعْ مِنْ قِبَلِ الرِّجْلَيْنِ، لَرُبَّ (١) عَذْقٍ لَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ " (٢)، ،

It is narrated from an Ansari companion that once we went out with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, for the funeral of an Ansari. At that time, I was young and with my father. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sat by the edge of the grave and began instructing the one digging the grave: "Make it spacious at the head side, and make it spacious at the foot side. For him, there are many clusters in Paradise."
