Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلَاءِ، لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever drags his clothes on the ground out of arrogance, Allah Almighty will not look at him with mercy on the Day of Resurrection."
