حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ طَاوُسًا، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، وَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ؟ فَقَالَ: " أَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْجَرِّ والدُّبَّاءِ؟ " قَالَ (٣) : " نَعَمْ " (٤)، ،

Translation

English translation

Tawoos says that a man asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), "Did the Prophet (ﷺ) prohibit nabidh (fermented drink) made in gourds and pumpkins?" He replied, "Yes." Tawoos says, "I myself heard this."
