حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنِي حَنْظَلَةُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ (٢) : " مَنِ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا إِلَّا ضَارِيًا، أَوْ كَلْبَ مَاشِيَةٍ، نَقَصَ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطَانِ (٣) " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever keeps a dog that is neither for guarding livestock nor a hunting dog, then two qirats will be deducted from his reward every day."
