حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: " شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ أَمَرَ بِرَجْمِهِمَا، فَلَمَّا رُجِمَا رَأَيْتُهُ يُجَانِئُ بِيَدَيْهِ عَنْهَا، لِيَقِيَهَا الْحِجَارَةَ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) ordered two, a man and a woman, to be stoned, I was present there. When they began to be stoned, I saw that the man was bending over with his hands to shield the woman from the stones.
