Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، وَابْنُ بَكْرٍ، قَالَا: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ الَّذِي تَفُوتُهُ (١) صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ فَكَأَنَّمَا (٢) وُتِرَ أَهْلَهُ وَمَالَهُ " قُلْتُ لِنَافِعٍ: حَتَّى تَغِيبَ الشَّمْسُ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever misses the Asr prayer, it is as if his family and wealth have been destroyed." I asked Nafi', "Until the sun sets?" He replied, "Yes."
