Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ، أَنَّ نَافِعًا، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَهُمْ (١) : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " قَطَعَ يَدَ رَجُلٍ سَرَقَ تُرْسًا مِنْ صُفَّةِ النِّسَاءِ، ثَمَنُهُ (٢) ثَلَاثَةُ دَرَاهِمَ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) had the hand of a man cut off for stealing a shield worth three dirhams, which belonged to a woman.
