حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ الْعَامِرِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، وَعَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، وَعَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ، سُئِلُوا عَنِ الْعُمْرَةِ قَبْلَ الْحَجِّ فِي الْمُتْعَةِ، فَقَالُوا: " نَعَمْ سُنَّةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَقْدَمُ فَتَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ، وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ، ثُمَّ تَحِلُّ، وَإِنْ كَانَ ذَلِكَ قَبْلَ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ بِيَوْمٍ ثُمَّ تُهِلُّ بِالْحَجِّ، فَتَكُونُ قَدْ جَمَعْتَ عُمْرَةً، وَحَجَّةً، أَوْ جَمَعَ اللهُ لَكَ عُمْرَةً وَحَجَّةً " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
Abdullah bin Sharik Amiri (may Allah have mercy on him) says that someone asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), Ibn Abbas, and Ibn Zubair (may Allah be pleased with them) about performing Umrah before Hajj in Hajj Tamattu’. I heard these gentlemen replying: Yes! This is the Sunnah of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). When you reach Makkah Mukarramah, perform Tawaf of the House of Allah, perform Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, and become halal (exit Ihram). If this is done even one day before the Day of Arafah, then enter into Ihram for Hajj. In this way, your Hajj and Umrah will be combined.
