حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّيْمِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ أَبِي الْخَطَّابِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ شَرِبَهَا فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ شَرِبَهَا فَاجْلِدُوهُ " (٣) ، فَقَالَ فِي، ، الْخَامِسَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ (١) : " فَاقْتُلُوهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever drinks alcohol, flog him. If he drinks again, then flog him again. If he drinks a third time, then flog him again. And on the fourth or fifth occasion, he said: Then kill him.
