حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُطَرِّفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ أَتَى ابْنَ مُطِيعٍ فَقَالَ: اطْرَحُوا لِأَبِي، ، عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وِسَادَةً، فَقَالَ: مَا جِئْتُ لِأَجْلِسَ عِنْدَكَ، وَلَكِنْ جِئْتُ أُخْبِرُكَ مَا سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِعْتُهُ (١) يَقُولُ: " مَنْ نَزَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ، أَوْ فَارَقَ الْجَمَاعَةَ مَاتَ مِيتَةَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ (٢) " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
Zaid bin Aslam narrates from his father that once I went with Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) to Abdullah bin Muti’, he welcomed Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) and ordered the people to present him a cushion. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: I have come to narrate to you a hadith which I heard from the Prophet (ﷺ). I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: Whoever withdraws his hand from obedience to the rightful ruler, no argument will be accepted from him on the Day of Resurrection, and whoever dies having separated from the “community” dies the death of ignorance.
