Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to say: Do not buy or sell fruit until it ripens. This prohibition is for both the seller and the buyer. Also, the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the sale of Muzabana, which means that a person sells the fruit of his garden—if it is dates, then in exchange for measured dried dates; if it is grapes, then in exchange for measured raisins; if it is crops, then in exchange for a specified measure. The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade all these things.
