Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنِي حَنْظَلَةُ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ الْعَلَمَ فِي الصُّورَةِ، وَقَالَ: " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ضَرْبِ الْوَجْهِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he disliked causing marks on the face and said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade striking on the face.
