Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ أَخْضَرَ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَسَمَ فِي النَّفَلِ لِلْفَرَسِ سَهْمَيْنِ، وَلِلرَّجُلِ سَهْمًا " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) allotted two shares for the horse and one share for the rider (on the occasion of the Battle of Khaybar).
