حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ جُمْهَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: " إِنْ أَسْعَى (٢) فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْعَى، وَإِنْ أَمْشِي فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْشِي، وَأَنَا شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that if I walk at a normal pace, I have seen the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) walking in this manner, and if I walk quickly, I have seen the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) walking in this manner as well, and I have become extremely old.
