Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، (١) عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ،، ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا آكُلُهُ، (١) وَلَا آمُرُ بِهِ، وَلَا أَنْهَى عَنْهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "I neither eat the lizard, nor do I command it, nor do I forbid it."
