Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ يَعْنِي الْحَدَّادَ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الصِّدِّيقِ النَّاجِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا وَضَعْتُمْ مَوْتَاكُمْ فِي الْقُبُورِ، فَقُولُوا: بِسْمِ اللهِ وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When you lower your dead into the grave, say «بسم الله وعلي ملة رسول الله»."
