حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، وَيَزِيدُ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: " إِنْ (٢) كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيَأْمُرُنَا بِالتَّخْفِيفِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ لَيَؤُمُّنَا بِالصَّافَّاتِ، قَالَ يَزِيدُ: فِي الصُّبْحِ (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to command us to perform short prayers, and the Prophet (ﷺ) himself, while leading us in prayer, would suffice with (a few verses) from Surah As-Saffat.
