حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: رَأَيْتُ فِي الْمَنَامِ كَأَنَّ بِيَدِي قِطْعَةَ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ، وَلَا أُشِيرُ بِهَا إِلَى مَكَانٍ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَّا طَارَتْ بِي إِلَيْهِ، فَقَصَّتْهَا حَفْصَةُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ أَخَاكِ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ " أَوْ: " إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that once I saw in a dream that I had a piece of brocade in my hand. Wherever in Paradise I pointed with it, it would carry me there. Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) mentioned this dream to the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) at his request. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: "Your brother is a righteous man," or he said, "Abdullah is a righteous man."
