حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَزْهُوَ، وَعَنِ السُّنْبُلِ حَتَّى يَبْيَضَّ، وَيَأْمَنَ مِنَ (١) الْعَاهَةِ نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the sale of dates until their buds appear, and the sale of wheat spikes until they are ripe and safe from calamities. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) issued this prohibition for both the seller and the buyer.
