حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَادَ سَفَرًا أَقْرَعَ بَيْنَ نِسَائِهِ، فَأَيَّتُهُنَّ مَا خَرَجَ سَهْمُهَا خَرَجَ بِهَا " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) intended to set out on a journey, he would draw lots among his noble wives, and whichever of them had her name drawn, he would take her along with him on the journey.
