English translation
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man asked the Prophet (ﷺ), "O Messenger of Allah! If the time for prayer comes, I am in a state where ghusl (ritual bath) is obligatory upon me, and I also want to fast, what should I do?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "If such a situation occurs with me, I perform ghusl and then keep the fast." The man said, "We are not like you; Allah Almighty has forgiven all your past and future sins." At this, the Prophet (ﷺ) became displeased, and signs of anger appeared on his blessed face, and he said, "By Allah, I hope that I am the most God-fearing among you and the most knowledgeable about Him."
