Original Arabic
قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَيْسَرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَتْ أُمُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (٣) : " إِنْ كُنْتُ لَأَتَّزِرُ، ثُمَّ أَدْخُلُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي لِحَافِهِ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ " (٤)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when I was in my "days" (menstruation), I would tie my lower garment tightly, then I would lie down with the Prophet (ﷺ) in his blanket, but he was more in control of his desires than you.
