حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي وَجَعِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ: " مَا فَعَلَتِ الذَّهَبُ؟ " قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: هِيَ عِنْدِي، قَالَ: "، ، ائْتِينِي بِهَا " فَجِئْتُ بِهَا، وَهِيَ بَيْنَ التِّسْعِ وَالْخَمْسِ، (١) فَوَضَعَهَا فِي يَدِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ بِهَا - وَأَشَارَ يَزِيدُ بِيَدِهِ -: " مَا ظَنُّ مُحَمَّدٍ بِاللهِ لَوْ لَقِيَ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَهَذِهِ عِنْدَهُ، أَنْفِقِيهَا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said to me during his illness of death, "O Aisha! What happened to that gold?" She brought some dinars, between seven and nine, and the Prophet (ﷺ) began to turn them over in his hand and said, "With what assumption will Muhammad (ﷺ) meet Allah while these dinars are with him? Spend them."
