حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجْنُبُ، ثُمَّ يَنَامُ، فَإِذَا قَامَ، اغْتَسَلَ، وَخَرَجَ وَرَأْسُهُ يَقْطُرُ، ثُمَّ يَصُومُ بَقِيَّةَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ " (٥)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that sometimes ghusl (ritual bath) would become obligatory upon the Prophet (ﷺ) and he would sleep. When he woke up, he would perform ghusl, and when he went out, drops of water would be dripping from his head. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) would fast for the remainder of that day.
