حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نُعِقَّ عَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةً، وَعَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَيْنِ، (٤) وَأَمَرَنَا بِالْفَرَعِ مِنْ كُلِّ خَمْسِ شِيَاهٍ، ، شَاةٌ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) commanded us that for a boy’s aqeeqah, two equal goats should be sacrificed, and for a girl, one goat. He also commanded that for every five, one goat should be sacrificed.
