Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ السُّدِّىُّ: عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَهِيِّ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " مَا كُنْتُ أَقْضِي مَا يَكُونُ عَلَيَّ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ إِلَّا فِي شَعْبَانَ، حَتَّى تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I used to make up my missed fasts of Ramadan only in the month of Sha'ban until the Prophet (ﷺ) passed away.
