حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " اعْتَكَفْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ، فَكَانَتْ تَرَى الصُّفْرَةَ وَالْحُمْرَةَ، فَرُبَّمَا وَضَعْنَا الطَّسْتَ تَحْتَهَا وَهِيَ تُصَلِّي " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once one of the pure wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) observed i'tikaf with the Prophet (ﷺ), and she began to experience bleeding beyond the prescribed days. She would see yellowish and reddish discharge, and sometimes we would place a basin beneath her while she was praying.
