حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ تُصُدِّقَ عَلَى بَرِيرَةَ مِنْ لَحْمِ الصَّدَقَةِ، فَأَهْدَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: إِنَّهُ مِنْ لَحْمِ الصَّدَقَةِ، فَقَالَ: "، ، إِنَّهُ لَهَا صَدَقَةٌ، وَلَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha that once some meat of charity came to Barirah from somewhere, and she sent it as a gift to the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) was informed that this meat was from charity. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "It was charity for her, but now it has become a gift for us."
