Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever bathes a deceased person and mentions a trustworthy matter about him and does not disclose any defect "which became apparent while bathing," then he comes out of his sins as on the day he was born. Then he said: Whoever among you is the closest relative of the deceased should remain near him, provided he knows how (to bathe), and if he does not know, then keep near him the one whom you think possesses abundant trustworthiness and piety.
