حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ الشَّنِّيُّ، مَنْ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي صَالِحُ بْنُ سَرْجٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حِطَّانَ قَالَ:، ، دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ، فَذَاكَرْتُهَا حَتَّى ذَكَرْنَا الْقَاضِيَ، فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " لَيَأْتِيَنَّ عَلَى الْقَاضِي الْعَدْلِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ سَاعَةٌ، يَتَمَنَّى أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَقْضِ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ فِي تَمْرَةٍ قَطُّ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
Imran bin Hattan says that once I was present in the service of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and was having a discussion with her. During this, the mention of a judge came up, so Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that on the Day of Resurrection, even the just and fair judge will come upon a time when he will wish that he had never decided even about a single date between two people.
