It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) began to feel unwell, he asked, "What day is it today?" We told him it was Monday. He asked, "On which day did the Prophet (ﷺ) pass away?" We told him, "On Monday." He said, "Then I also hope for the same tonight." She says that Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) had a cloth on his body which had saffron-colored stains on it. He said, "When I die, wash this cloth of mine and, along with two new cloths, shroud me in three cloths." We said, "Why don't we use all new cloths?" He said, "No, these are only for a short while." She says that when Monday ended and the night of Tuesday began, he passed away.
