حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّي، حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ رُسْتُمَ أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْخَزَّازُ، حَدَّثَنِي كَثِيرُ بْنُ شِنْظِيرٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: مَا قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطِيبًا إِلَّا أَمَرَنَا بِالصَّدَقَةِ، وَنَهَانَا عَنِ الْمُثْلَةِ. قَالَ: وَقَالَ: " أَلَا وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْمُثْلَةِ أَنْ يَنْذُرَ الرَّجُلُ أَنْ يَخْزِمَ أَنْفَهُ، أَلَا وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْمُثْلَةِ أَنْ يَنْذُرَ الرَّجُلُ أَنْ يَحُجَّ مَاشِيًا فَلْيُهْدِ هَدْيًا وَلْيَرْكَبْ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) would always encourage giving charity in his addresses and would forbid mutilation. Remember! Mutilation also includes that a person vows to cut off someone's nose, and also that a person vows to perform Hajj on foot. Such a person should take a sacrificial animal along and ride on it.
