Musnad Ahmad Hadith 19643

It is narrated from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was with the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) in a garden. A man came and greeted with salam. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Go, give him permission to enter and also give him the glad tidings of Paradise." I went and found that it was Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him). I said to him, "Please come inside and accept the glad tidings of Paradise." He kept praising Allah and sat down in a place. Then another man came and also greeted with salam. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Give him permission and glad tidings as well." I went and found that it was Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). I said to him, "Please come inside and accept the glad tidings of Paradise." He kept praising Allah and sat down in a place. Then a third man came and also greeted with salam. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Go and give him permission as well, and give him the glad tidings of Paradise along with a trial." I went and found that it was Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him). I said to him, "Please come inside and accept the glad tidings of Paradise along with a severe trial." He came and sat down, saying, "O Allah! Keep me steadfast." The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
