حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرٌ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " لَا يُدْخِلُ أَحَدَكُمُ الْجَنَّةَ عَمَلُهُ، وَلَا يُنَجِّيهِ عَمَلُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " قِيلَ: وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: " وَلَا أَنَا، إِلَّا بِرَحْمَةِ اللهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying: "None of you will enter Paradise or be saved from Hell because of his deeds." The companions asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Not even you?" He replied: "Not even me, unless Allah covers me with His mercy."
