حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْقَاصُّ وَهُو أَبُوالْمُغِيرَةِ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا يَمُوتَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَّا وَهُوَ يُحْسِنُ بِاللهِ الظَّنَّ؛ فَإِنَّ قَوْمًا قَدْ أَرْدَاهُمْ سُوءُ ظَنِّهِمْ بِاللهِ " فَقَالَ اللهُ (٤) {وَذَلِكُمْ ظَنُّكُمُ الَّذِي ظَنَنْتُمْ بِرَبِّكُمْ أَرْدَاكُمْ، فَأَصْبَحْتُمْ، ، مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ} [فصلت: ٢٣] (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever among you is faced with death should be in the state of having good expectations from Allah, because some people intended to have bad thoughts about Allah, so Allah said: 'This is your vile assumption which you assumed about your Lord, so you have become among the losers.'"
