حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْأَرْضِ (٢) فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: أَنَا رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ جَابِرٍ يَطْلُبُ أَرْضًا مُخَابَرَةً، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: انْظُرُوا إِلَى هَذَا، إِنَّ أَبَاهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ " نَهَى عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْأَرْضِ "، وَهُوَ يَطْلُبُ أَرْضًا يُخَابِرُهَا (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade renting out land. When someone mentioned this to Ibn Umar, a man present in that gathering said, "I myself have seen the son of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) taking land on sharecropping." Ibn Umar said, "Look at him—his father is narrating this hadith from the Prophet (ﷺ) that the Prophet forbade renting out land, and he goes about doing this kind of thing."
