Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، وَعَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يُبَاعَ مَا فِي رُءُوسِ النَّخْلِ بِتَمْرٍ مَكِيلٍ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade selling dates that are still on the trees in exchange for harvested dates by measure.
