Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: " شَهِدْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ بَدَأَ بِالصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ بِغَيْرِ أَذَانٍ، وَلَا إِقَامَةٍ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of Eid al-Fitr, I was present in the service of the Prophet (ﷺ). He led the prayer before the sermon without (calling) adhan or iqamah.
