حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَنْ مُخَوَّلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا اغْتَسَلَ، أَفْرَغَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثًا "، قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ إِنَّ شَعْرِي كَثِيرٌ، فَقَالَ جَابِرٌ: " إِنَّ شَعْرَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ شَعْرِكَ وَأَطْيَبَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was asked how the Prophet (ﷺ) used to perform ghusl. He replied: The Prophet (ﷺ) would pour water over his head three times. A man from Banu Hashim said: "But my hair is very long." Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The Prophet (ﷺ) had more hair on his blessed head than you in terms of quantity, and in terms of fragrance, his hair was the best of all."
